This book is a uniquely valuable source of information for any parent or health care practitioner who wants to make an informed decision about how to best protect their child from both infections diseases AND the risks of adverse vaccine reactions. Unfortunately, the formal mechanism for tracking vaccine problems was set up to avoid attributing them to vaccines so as to protect manufacturers of these essential medical supplies from excessive liability. While this has ensured a continuing supply of vaccines, it has also made it quite difficult for parents and physicians to truly understand the risks involved with childhood vaccinations. Dr. Cave has gone through the medical literature thoroughly to identify the actual risks associated with specific vaccinations. She has also explained what the risks of the diseases are that we are vaccinating against, and how people are exposed to them. This critical information, never before available in one place, allows parents to make rational decisions about which vaccinations their children need, when they should be administered, and when to say "no, thanks!"
This book provides a detailed discussion of a SAFE schedule to use to vaccinate your children. No more risk of autism. No more risk of diabetes. No more risk of sudden infant death syndrome. Dr. Cave performs an incredible public service in applying rational analysis to WHICH vaccinations children need, WHEN they are needed, and WHAT the risks of vaccinating versus not vaccinating are. Responsible parents will want to read this book and compare Dr. Cave's suggestions with the standard vaccination schedule before they allow their child to be vaccinated.
This book is an ideal gift for a friend or family member who has a
child
or is expecting one. This book provides real information and
useful
advice. It is the only available source to do so. Some
information
sources provide scary stories and sensational news. Others provide
soothing
advice to let your doctor decide and contain no information you could
use
to think for yourself. Dr. Cave's book provides reliable
information
and helpful discussion of risks and alternatives so parents are
equipped
to make the best possible decision themselves.

Back cover copy from What
Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's Vaccinations
• The rotavirus
vaccine
was stopped after one child died and many others reported serious
intestinal
problems following its use.
• A rapid rise in
autism may be connected to the MMR vaccine and the mercury found in
several
vaccines.
We may be overvaccinating our children today. Once considered a godsend, vaccines are now felt by some to be associated with dramatic increases in brain and autoimmune diseases such as autism, asthma, diabetes, learning disabilities, and ADHD. Here is a vital, down-to-earth guide that will tell you which vaccines may be risky and what to consider to help safely vaccinate your children. Written by an expert on pediatric vaccinations, this book arms you with:
• Guidance on when to
give children vaccinations - and which ones to give
• Details on vaccines
for hepatitis A and B, DPT, HIB, polio, MMR, chicken pox, pneumococcus,
and many others
• Research and safety
track records for various shots
• Precautions parents
can take when their children get vaccinated, including the use of
natural
supplements and vitamins.

Vaccines are considered
prevention,
yet they may cause problems that are very hard to correct!
Of course, death is the ultimate uncorrectable problem. Vaccines
are supposed to prevent the risk of disease related death or
disability. The medical establishment has lost sight of the fact
that they should only be used when this risk exceeds the risk of the
vaccine itsel.f
Childhood diabetes is another risk of vaccines. Like autism, the
rate is going up in lockstep with the number of vaccines
administered. Aside from being a miserable condition, most
diabetics become disabled at an early age and die young.
Like most prescription medications, many vaccines that are introduced
as safe and wonderfully helpful are withdrawn a few years later when
their risks become apparent. This book gives you some ability to
decide whether it is too soon to know a new vaccine is safe. An
example of this is hepatitis B vaccine. France has stopped giving
it because it causes MS. In the US the government does not admit
the vaccine causes MS so we continue to use it - and to have the
highest MS rate in the world.
